Ukrainian president names new foreign intelligence chief PHOTO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleh Luhovskyi, First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (SZRU), as acting head of the agency.
According to a decree published on February 4, Luhovskyi has been tasked with temporarily fulfilling the duties of the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Caliber.Az reports.

Before this appointment, Luhovskyi was deputy to former Foreign Intelligence Service chief Oleh Ivashchenko, who was reassigned as head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence. Luhovskyi has held the position of deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service since May 2024.
