Ukrainian president, US envoy emphasise joint efforts for peace, defence VIDEO
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with US Special Envoy General Keith Kellogg, focusing on advancing peace and strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
“We discussed the path to peace and what we can practically do together to bring it closer,” Zelenskyy said on his Telegram page, Caliber.Az reports.
According to Zelenskyy, this includes strengthening air defence for Ukraine, joint production and procurement of defence weapons together with Europe, and sanctions against Russia and those who help it.
Highlighting the critical role of the United States, Zelenskyy stressed, “We hope for the leadership of the United States, because it is clear that Moscow will not stop unless its inadequate ambitions are stopped by force.”
Expressing gratitude, Zelenskyy thanked Kellogg for his visit to Ukraine.
"I am grateful to President Trump for important signals of support and positive decisions for both our countries. We appreciate the support of the American people," he added.
