Ukrainian servicemen professionally using NATO weapons on battlefield, defence chief says
02 October 2022 10:28
Ukraine’s Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has said that the Ukrainian military had mastered more than 300 NATO standards.
Ukraine has already become a member of the Alliance de facto, but it remains to become de jure, RBC-Ukraine quotes Reznikov as saying on the air of the national telethon on October 1.
“During the six months of the war [since February 24], we mastered ‘the NATO’ weapons and very complex ones. The 155-calibre artillery systems, MLRS [multiple launch rocket systems], Gepard anti-aircraft guns and much more,” Reznikov noted.
The top defence officer said the Ukrainian servicemen have been and are being trained on these systems and are successfully using them on the battlefield.
