Ukrainian special unit fires warning shots in apprehension incident VIDEO
An incident involving Ukraine’s Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centres (TCC)—the local equivalent of military enlistment offices—and civilians occurred in Chernivtsi Oblast during the detention of a wanted man, local sources announced.
Authorities were attempting to detain a 39-year-old resident wanted for offenses related to violations of military service regulations. During the operation, unidentified individuals reportedly tried to interfere with law enforcement and blocked the service vehicle, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
Faced with the obstruction, officers from a special unit fired warning shots into the air to disperse the crowd. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities have launched an internal investigation to review the circumstances surrounding the event. The probe will assess the officers’ actions and the response of the civilians involved.
