UN, Iraqi Kurdistan align on diplomatic push for regional stability
Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and Ghulam Mohammad Ishaqzai, the United Nations Representative and Resident Coordinator in Iraq, have emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to achieve “peaceful solutions” to ongoing regional crises.
In a statement, Barzani urged the international community to maintain its support for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, stressing that such assistance is vital for strengthening stability and addressing current challenges, Caliber.Az reports.

He also praised the role played by the United Nations in supporting the country.
For his part, Ishaqzai reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to continue assisting Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, underscoring the UN’s readiness to support efforts aimed at maintaining stability and tackling existing issues.
