UN Resident Coordinator congratulates Azerbaijani journalists on National Press Day

UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva has congratulated Azerbaijani journalists on National Press Day.

Andreeva shared the relevant publication on Twitter, Report informs.

She wished success to the Azerbaijani journalists in preserving the traditions of Hasan bay Zardabi.

For the record, 148 years ago, on 22 July 1875, the first issue of the newspaper Akinchi, founded by one of the prominent representatives of the movement of enlightenment of his time Hasan bay Zardabi, was published and thus the foundations of the national press in Azerbaijan were laid.
