US, allies accuse Iran of “assassination attempts” against Jews
The United States, Canada, Australia, and leading NATO European countries have accused Iran of attempting to carry out assassinations against members of Jewish communities and Iranian dissidents abroad, and have declared their readiness to “defend themselves” against such actions.
The claims were made in a joint statement issued and simultaneously distributed by the governments of the United States and 21 Western countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The statement alleges that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other Iranian intelligence services are “preparing assassination attempts, as well as other malicious activities in Europe, North America, and Australia against Iranian dissidents, journalists, members of Jewish and Israeli communities, and their interests.”
The signatory countries demanded that Iran “immediately stop” these alleged activities and stated that they are “united in their readiness to protect their societies from these threats.”
