The United States and Iran have reached an agreement to reduce the enrichment level of Iran’s existing uranium stockpiles, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
In an interview with Al Arabiya, Dar said the United States had initially requested the removal of Iran’s nuclear material, but the parties ultimately agreed on lowering enrichment levels instead.
“America asked for the removal of Iran’s nuclear stockpiles, but we reached a decision to reduce the level of enrichment,” he said.
He added that the uranium stockpiles remain “underground,” while both sides concluded that diplomacy remains the only viable solution.
