US Apache attack helicopter crashes near Strait of Hormuz

A US AH-64 Apache attack helicopter crashed near the Strait of Hormuz on June 8, with both crew members rescued following the incident.

It remains unclear whether the helicopter was shot down or whether the crash was caused by a technical malfunction, Caliber.Az reports, citing The New York Times.

President Donald Trump said the two pilots abroad are “fine.”

Iran’s state media, citing reports from international sources, confirmed the crash but did not provide further details.
