US, Armenia set to sign civil nuclear cooperation agreement
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met in Paris with Thomas DiNanno, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, where both sides highlighted their readiness to sign an agreement on civil nuclear cooperation.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the officials discussed deepening the Armenia–US strategic partnership across multiple areas.
“Ararat Mirzoyan and Thomas DiNanno welcomed the completion of negotiations on a cooperation agreement between the governments of Armenia and the United States on the peaceful use of nuclear energy. They emphasised their readiness to sign the agreement in due form and continue collaboration in this area,” the ministry said.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional infrastructure projects and other matters of mutual interest.
