US arms control envoy to lead delegation to Israel for security talks

US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno is scheduled to visit Israel on February 8, the US Department of State said.

DiNanno will lead a joint delegation from the Departments of State and Defence for meetings with Israeli officials within the framework of the Political Military Group Dialogue. The discussions will focus on ongoing security programs and defence cooperation between the US and Israel.

During the visit, DiNanno is also expected to tour several military facilities to review the implementation of joint security initiatives.

Ahead of the trip, on February 6, DiNanno will deliver remarks at the UN Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. He will meet with several allies and partners to discuss issues of mutual interest.
