US Army conducts massive strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen PHOTO/VIDEO
U.S. forces have carried out more than a dozen strikes on Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, which is under the control of the Houthi group, according to the publication of United States Central Command (CENTCOM) on X.
Although the U.S. military has not officially announced the strikes, it published photos and videos of an aircraft carrier and preparations for raids against Yemeni rebels, accompanied by the caption “24...7....” Caliber.Az reports.
The Al-Masirah TV channel reported “fourteen airstrikes carried out as part of American aggression, targeting the Al-Hafa area in the As-Sabin district of the capital.” It also noted strikes in the Hazm area of Al-Jawf province.
The United States has intensified military strikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels primarily in response to their attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. These waterways are vital for global trade, and the Houthis' actions have threatened the free flow of commerce, prompting the U.S. to act.
