US, Bahrain address Hormuz crisis and bilateral ties in phone call

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone call with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East and the state of bilateral relations, according to Bahrain News Agency.

During the conversation, the two officials reviewed the latest developments across the region and explored prospects for strengthening ties between the United States and Bahrain.

Particular focus was placed on the impact of Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, with both sides discussing its implications for international trade, the global economy, and broader global trade connections.
