US CENTCOM destroys Houthi unmanned boats in Red Sea

The US Central Command has reported the destruction of unmanned boats of the Houthis from Yemen's Ansar Allah movement in the Red Sea.

“In the past 24 hours U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces successfully destroyed four Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed surface vessels (USV) in the Red Sea,” Caliber.Az reports, citing CENTCOM’s message on X.

“It was determined the USVs presented an imminent threat to U.S. and coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region,” the message says.

The message reads that “these actions were taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure.”
