US continues training Ukrainian military personnel
The United States continues to train Ukrainian military personnel, including in the operation of F-16 fighter jets, according to a report by the inspectors general of the Pentagon, US State Department and US Agency for International Development submitted to Congress.
From April 1 to June 30, US specialists also trained Ukrainian personnel in the use and maintenance of various weapons systems, including Bradley armoured vehicles, Stryker armoured personnel carriers and HIMARS multiple rocket launchers.
A total of 575 Ukrainian military personnel received training during the reporting period.
The training was conducted at facilities in Germany, Spain, Poland, Romania, the United States and Ukraine. The figure was 28.6% lower than in the previous quarter.
In May 2025, the US State Department approved a contract worth about $311 million to train Ukrainian military personnel in the operation and maintenance of F-16 fighter jets.
The exact number of aircraft delivered to Kyiv has not been officially disclosed.
