US defense chief threatens Iran’s military facilities

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth briefed reporters at the Pentagon, detailing recent US operations targeting Iran’s military capabilities.

“Soon and very soon all of Iran's defense companies will be destroyed,” Hegseth said, Reuters reports.

He claimed that, as of two days ago, “Iran's entire ballistic missile production capacity, every company that builds every component of those missiles, has been functionally defeated, destroyed. Buildings, complexes and factory lines all across Iran, destroyed.”

Hegseth also indicated that March 13 would see the highest volume of US strikes to date, signaling an intensification of military operations in the region.
