US deprives Rossiya Airlines of export privileges

The US Department of Commerce has decided to revoke the export privileges of Rossiya Airlines. The ministry said the reason was the company's violations of export restrictions imposed on the Russian Federation.

"Preventing these planes from providing any services, including from abroad, means that international flights from Belarus or Russia with these airliners are actually stopped," the US ministry clarified.

This is the fifth Russian airline, deprived of export privileges in the US. Earlier similar measures were taken in respect of Aeroflot, Azur Air, UTair, and cargo Aviastar-TU.
