US Embassy in Jordan self-isolates amid Mideast war
The US Embassy in Amman, Jordan, has announced the cancellation of all appointments at the Consular Services until further notice, amidst the ongoing military confrontation in the Middle East.
Due to the situation, all mission personnel are in self-isolation, and US citizens abroad are advised to do the same, Caliber.Az reports, citing the embassy's post on X.
Americans are encouraged to monitor the latest security alerts, reconsider travel plans in light of potential disruptions, and take steps to protect themselves and their families.
Jordanian authorities have lifted the temporary airspace closure that had been in effect from 18:00 to 09:00. The embassy urged people to follow updates through local media and official sources.
Travellers planning departures are advised to contact airlines or travel agencies directly. Key land border crossings are operating as usual.
