The American embassy building in Tel Aviv sustained minor damage after a missile, reportedly launched from Iranian territory, exploded nearby.
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed the incident on June 16 via the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed the incident on June 16 via the social media platform X.
He stated: "Our US… pic.twitter.com/CnvSKaHzqa
He stated: "Our US Embassy in Israel and Consulate will officially remain closed today as shelter in place still in effect."
The ambassador added: "Some minor damage from concussions of Iranian missile hits near Embassy Branch in Tel Aviv, but no injuries to US personnel."
As a precaution, both the US embassy and consulate in Israel will remain closed throughout the day.
