US embassy unable to evacuate citizens from Israel
The US Embassy in Israel has reported on X that American citizens are facing significant travel restrictions and that the mission is currently unable to provide direct assistance or organise evacuations.
The statement advises Americans wishing to leave Israel to use buses arranged by the country’s Ministry of Tourism to the border town of Taba in Egypt, and then continue travel by air via Egypt, including flights from Cairo. Departure through Jordan is not recommended due to irregular flight schedules.
The U.S. Embassy is not in a position at this time to evacuate or directly assist Americans in departing Israel.

The embassy noted that even after the main airport in Tel Aviv reopens, available flights will be limited, with priority given to passengers who have already purchased tickets with El Al Airlines.
Americans are urged to plan departures in advance and monitor updates to minimise risks amid the ongoing unstable situation.
