US envoys to visit Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan to bolster economic, security cooperation
The US Department of State announced that Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau will travel to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan from October 26 to 30.
During the visit, the senior diplomats are scheduled to meet with government officials in both countries to discuss a broad range of economic and security issues, Caliber.Az reports per US Special Department.
In a statement, the State Department emphasised that the United States will continue working closely with its Central Asian counterparts to expand commercial ties and enhance cooperation across key sectors.
The visit also marks a milestone in regional diplomacy, as 2025 commemorates ten years of the C5+1 platform — a framework that brings together the United States and the five Central Asian nations to address shared challenges and advance mutual interests.
