US House Speaker asks Trump to remove AI image resembling Jesus

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson said he asked President Donald Trump to remove an AI-generated image posted on the Truth Social platform that depicted him in a form resembling Jesus.

According to The Hill, Johnson said he raised the issue with Trump shortly after seeing the post, noting that the image could be interpreted differently than intended.

“I talked to the president about it as soon as I saw it and told him I don’t think it was being received in the same way he intended it. He agreed and he pulled it down. That was the right thing to do,” Johnson stated.

He added that Trump did not view the post as blasphemous and said it had been misunderstood.

On April 12, Trump shared the image on Truth Social, portraying himself as a “healer” emitting light through touch. The president later said media outlets had misinterpreted the image as an attempt to depict himself as Jesus, stressing that it was meant to show him as a doctor helping people recover.
