US, Israel launch over 16,000 strikes across Iran in ongoing operation

The United States and Israel have conducted more than 16,000 strikes on Iranian territory since the start of their military operation, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing data from US Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Israeli military.

US forces hit at least 7,800 targets and damaged or destroyed more than 120 Iranian vessels. Israel, in turn, carried out around 8,500 strikes, the report said.

In addition, Israel struck approximately 2,000 targets in Lebanon and intercepted upward of 90% of threats directed toward its territory.
