US, Israeli top commanders collaborate on regional security
Commander of US Central Command Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla has arrived in Israel to consult with his Israeli counterparts.
On September 8, he met with General Herzi Halevi, the chief of staff, followed by a visit to the Northern Command, Caliber.Az informs via foreign media.
After an assessment with Halevi, Kurilla met with Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin at the command’s underground war room, where the military says he was “presented with the IDF’s operational plans for Lebanon.”
A briefing also took place, during which Kurilla was presented with the IDF’s operational plans for Lebanon. The US Central Command is responsible for actions in the Middle East.
“The General’s visit is focused on current threats, with an emphasis on threats from Lebanon and Iran in the northern arena,” the IDF stated.
