US issues global security alert for Americans as Middle East tensions rise OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The US Department of State has issued a security alert for American citizens amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Americans currently in the region have been advised to exercise increased caution, monitor updates from US embassies and local authorities, and prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and transportation disruptions, Caliber.Az reports.

“U.S. diplomatic facilities, including outside the Middle East, have been targeted. Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or at locations associated with the United States and Americans throughout the world,” the State Department said in an official statement.
