US lawmaker calls returning to Iran nuclear deal “insane and wrong”
US Representative Pat Fallon stated on X that returning to the nuclear deal with Iran would be “insane and wrong,” pointing out that Iranian authorities are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans
“The Iranian regime has killed hundreds of Americans and has chosen chaos and destruction at every opportunity. It’s both insane and wrong that you still think we should reward these terrorists and return to the JCPOA,” Fallon wrote.

He indicated that Iran has repeatedly resorted to violence and should not be encouraged by a return to the 2015 nuclear agreement between Tehran and world powers.
In 2015, Iran and six leading global powers signed the JCPOA, which limited Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for lifting previously imposed sanctions. The agreement was designed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, but faced criticism and was withdrawn by the US in 2018.
