US lets Europe sit out Ukraine talks — German defence minister

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said the United States allows Europeans to be excluded from negotiations on resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, he asserted that Moscow “refuses to negotiate with Europeans,” Caliber.Az reports via German media.

“And the Americans allow this to happen,” Pistorius said, adding that this was currently their problem and that Washington permitted it. 

He emphasized that European nations cannot simply “sit down at the negotiating table” on their own.

The German minister also stressed the need to continue providing Kyiv with air defense systems promptly.
