US marines conduct live hoist drills aboard USS Tripoli
United States Central Command said U.S. Marines have conducted live hoist training aboard the USS Tripoli (LHA-7) as part of ongoing military operations in the region.
According to the statement, the drills took place on the ship’s flight deck and involved Marines rehearsing aerial insertion and extraction procedures, Caliber.Az reports.

"U.S. Marines conduct live hoist training on the flight deck of America-class amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli [LHA 7]. Tripoli and its 3,500 Sailors and embarked Marines are executing the mission to blockade ships entering and departing Iranian ports," US CENTCOM said.
The USS Tripoli, an America-class amphibious assault ship, carries a contingent of approximately 3,500 sailors and embarked Marines. The exercises come amid heightened tensions surrounding maritime activity near Iranian ports.
