US marines conduct training aboard USS Tripoli in Arabian Sea
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on social media that U.S. Marines have conducted close-quarters tactics training aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7) while the vessel sails in the Arabian Sea.
In a post on X, CENTCOM said the embarked Marines were carrying out training exercises designed to enhance readiness for operations such as maritime interception missions, Caliber.Az reports.
“U.S. Marines conduct close-quarters tactics training aboard USS Tripoli (LHA 7) as the amphibious assault ship sails in the Arabian Sea,” the statement said.

It added that “during training evolutions like these, embarked Marines hone their skills for missions such as maritime interception operations.”
CENTCOM further stated that USS Tripoli is currently involved in what it described as a mission to “blockade ships entering and departing Iranian ports,” adding that the enforcement is being carried out “impartially against vessels of all nations.”
