US military kills four in strike on suspected cartel vessel in Caribbean VIDEO

U.S. forces killed four suspected members of a drug-trafficking network in a strike on a vessel operating along established narcotics-trafficking routes in the Caribbean, U.S. Southern Command said.

Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere carried out the “lethal kinetic strike” on August 25 under the direction of Southern Command chief Gen. Francis L. Donovan, the command said in a statement on X.

Southern Command said intelligence had confirmed the vessel was actively involved in narcotics trafficking.

“Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere continues executing precise, lethal operations against the cartels,” Donovan said. “We will hunt, disrupt, and defeat these narco-terrorist networks.”

The command said the task force remained focused on disrupting cartel activity across the region and into the United States.
