US NewsBlaze publishes article about Azerbaijani war veterans
The US well-known NewsBlaze newspaper has published an article by Nurit Greenger about veterans of the second Karabakh war.
Israeli doctors could save the eyesight of 24-year-old Arif Hajiyev, Report quotes Greenger as saying.
“Ophthalmologist Yishay Falick, who works at the Misgav Ladach Hospital in Jerusalem, together with a group of volunteer doctors, operated on 150 Azerbaijani veterans at the National Centre of Ophthalmology named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva free of charge,” the article said.
According to the article, 1,245 Azerbaijani servicemen were wounded in the second Karabakh war.
"One of them is Hajiyev, who was wounded in Yukhari Abdurrahmanli village of the Fuzuli district," the article said.
In an interview with NewsBlaze, Hajiyev spoke about Azerbaijan’s care for veterans. The Azerbaijani veteran said that the YASHAT Foundation provided him with an apartment and a car.
Greenger also spoke about another Azerbaijani veteran Vasif Dilavarzade.
The author notes that seven operations were conducted not to amputate limb of Dilaverzade, who was wounded during the second Karabakh War.
