US offers $10 million bounty for Iraqi militia leader linked to Iran PHOTO
The United States has announced a reward of $10 million for information on the leader of the Iraqi Shiite militia group Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, which is backed by Iran.
The announcement was made by the US State Department’s Rewards for Justice programme on X, confirming the offer of a financial reward for information leading to his identification or location.

The programme named Hashim Finyan Rahim al-Saraji as the group’s leader.
It stated that al-Saraji led a militia whose members “killed Iraqi civilians and attacked US diplomatic missions in Iraq.”
According to the statement, members of Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada have also carried out attacks on American diplomatic facilities in Iraq, as well as on US military bases and personnel in both Iraq and Syria.
