US offers $10 million reward for information on Hezbollah financing network

The Trump administration has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the disruption of Hezbollah’s financing networks, as part of a broader sanctions package targeting individuals accused of supporting the group.

The US State Department said nine people have been sanctioned, including members of parliament, senior officials within Lebanon’s security apparatus, and an Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

Washington alleges they assisted Hezbollah and worked to undermine Lebanon’s sovereignty while advancing Iran’s interests in the country.

Officials described the move as “only the beginning” of a wider effort to dismantle the group’s financial infrastructure.

They reiterated that the disarmament of Hezbollah remains a key condition for what they called a “stable, secure and independent Lebanon”.

The sanctions represent a further escalation in US pressure on networks linked to Hezbollah, which is designated by Washington as a terrorist organisation.
