US orders anti-tank weapons from Sweden
The United States ordered Karl Gustav anti-tank grenade launchers h and AT4 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades worth about $82 million for the US Army from the Swedish industrial company Saab. They will go into service in 2024, TASS writes, citing the company's statement.
“Saab has received an order for the Carl Gustav and AT4CS RS systems for the US military. The order value is 81.8 million US dollars and deliveries will be made during 2024,” the statement says, according to TASS.
The weapons are said to be used by the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and the US Marine Corps.
According to the president of the Saab division in the United States, the weapons will continue to provide fighters with significant superiority when faced with an armoured threat force on current and future battlefields.
