US police arrest armed suspect outside Trump golf club area

Police in the United States have detained an armed man in the area of the golf club of US President Donald Trump in Los Angeles.

The suspect has been identified as Glendale resident Sean Steiner, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

He has been charged with several serious offences related to the illegal possession and trafficking of firearms.

Police said the man was wearing body armour and carrying multiple weapons, including a rifle decorated in a style inspired by the Joker character with distinctive markings. He was spotted in an upscale area of Los Angeles near the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Authorities stated that Steiner was detained after he began running along the roadway. Following his arrest, the man told officers that he had previously fired shots into the air in an attempt to express his emotions.
