US President Biden arrives in Ukraine on unannounced trip
US President Joe Biden has arrived in Kyiv on a surprise visit.
Biden landed in the Ukrainian capital on February 20 for a stop on a European trip to coincide with the first anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine later this week, The National News informs.
The news was confirmed by Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko on Twitter.
"Yes, confirmed [the President of the US] in Kyiv. Welcome, Mr President! Looking forward to the announcements following the air raid sirens experience," she wrote.

Sirens were heard sounding during the trip when Biden was seen laying a wreath at a memorial wall.
He will also visit Poland, where he will discuss bilateral cooperation with President Andrzej Duda, and meet NATO leaders to underscore Washington's support for the alliance.
