US rules out restrictions on oil and gas exports, says energy chief

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright has stated that the United States does not plan to impose any restrictions on its oil and gas exports.

In a post on social media, Wright emphasised the country’s position as the world’s largest exporter of natural gas and a major global supplier of oil. He stressed that Washington has no intention of limiting shipments of these energy resources.

"Thanks to President Trump, the United States is the world’s top oil and natural gas producer. We are also the largest natural gas exporter and a top oil exporter. To be clear, the Trump administration has no plan to implement restrictions on oil and gas exports," he wrote.
