US says 48 vessels intercepted since start of Iran blockade
The United States has intercepted 48 vessels attempting to enter or leave Iranian ports since the start of its maritime blockade, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on X.
“Over the past 20 days, 48 vessels have been redirected to ensure compliance with the blockade,” the statement said.

CENTCOM also released an image of the US Navy amphibious assault ship USS New Orleans, currently deployed in the Arabian Sea. The command added that US forces continue to patrol international waters and monitor compliance with the ongoing maritime blockade of Iran.
