US secretary of state to visit Germany, Slovakia, Hungary
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to Germany from February 13 to 15 to attend the 62nd Munich Security Conference, the U.S. State Department announced.
Following the conference, Rubio will continue his trip to Central Europe, visiting Bratislava, Slovakia, and Budapest, Hungary, from February 15 to 16, Caliber.Az reports via the department's press service.
In Bratislava, the Secretary of State is scheduled to meet with senior Slovak government officials to discuss shared regional security priorities. The talks will also focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in nuclear energy and energy diversification, as well as supporting Slovakia’s military modernisation efforts and its commitments within NATO.
During his visit to Budapest, Rubio will hold meetings with key Hungarian officials aimed at reinforcing U.S.-Hungary bilateral and regional cooperation. Discussions are expected to include joint support for peace processes to resolve global conflicts and further development of the U.S.-Hungary energy partnership.
