US signals strong tech cooperation with Turkmenistan in AI sector
American companies are ready to cooperate with Turkmenistan in the development of artificial intelligence (AI), US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Sarah Rogers said at a briefing for journalists, TASS reports.
“Across Central Asia, the topic of artificial intelligence and data centres came up in almost every conversation I had, including with senior ministers in each individual country. And it is great that this is happening, because this technology will change the way business and education are conducted. <...> I am encouraged that Turkmenistan is interested in this technology, and I am not surprised, because I think the government wants technology and prosperity. And generally speaking, when a country wants technology and prosperity, American companies are ready to provide it,” she noted.
Rogers arrived in Turkmenistan on June 8. Earlier, she made visits to India, Nepal, and Uzbekistan.
