US special envoy meets with Netanyahu in Jerusalem

U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Tom Barrack has arrived in Israel, where he held a meeting with the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said Axios journalist Barak Ravid.

“U.S. Special Envoy Tom Barrack arrived in Israel and on Sunday met with Netanyahu to discuss [President Donald] Trump’s request for Israel to limit strikes on Lebanon, as well as the issue of negotiations with Syria,” the journalist wrote on his X page.

Ravid added that the envoy also met with Israel’s Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, and Defence Minister Israel Katz.
