US strikes over 90 military targets on Iran’s Kharg Island
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated on X that overnight strikes on Kharg Island, a critical Iranian oil export hub, destroyed more than 90 military targets while leaving the island’s oil infrastructure intact.
“Last night, US forces executed a large-scale precision strike on Kharg Island, Iran. The strike destroyed naval mine storage facilities, missile storage bunkers, and multiple other military sites. US forces successfully struck more than 90 Iranian military targets on Kharg Island, while preserving the oil infrastructure,” the Central Command noted.

Kharg Island is a five-kilometre stretch off Iran’s coast through which approximately 90% of the country’s oil exports pass.
