US Vice President: Trump does not love cocaine Vance urges addicts to seek help after apology
US Vice President J.D. Vance apologised to drug users in an interview with Fox News, emphasising that President Donald Trump does not love cocaine and calling for addicts to seek treatment.
“For all the people that love cocaine, I am sorry. The President of the United States does not love cocaine. We encourage you to go to rehab, and we will keep on pursuing America’s interests,” Vance said in response to a question about how the US plans to combat drug use, Caliber.Az reports.
US law enforcement agencies reported persistently high levels of cocaine trafficking and seizures in 2025, reflecting enduring domestic demand and robust international supply chains.
On a broader comparative scale, international assessments note that North America—including the US—remains one of the largest regional markets for cocaine use globally, amid record high global production and consumption.
