USA Today: Greenland says no updates after Trump takes back Arctic threats
The Greenlandic government has not been "presented with anything” following remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump about negotiations, Greenland’s Minister for Business, Trade, Mineral Resources, Justice, and Gender Equality, Naaja Nathanielsen, said.
Nathanielsen expressed her surprise in an interview with USA Today on January 25, Caliber.Az reports.
"She also said her government had not been 'presented with anything' following a turbulent diplomatic week that saw Trump walk back his threats to take control, by force, of the Arctic island and keep negotiating," the report reads.
According to the minister, Greenland’s authorities were able to hold talks with NATO only after NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had discussed the Greenland issue with Trump.
