Uzbek leader holds high-level talks with US business leaders in Tashkent PHOTO
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with representatives of leading US companies and financial institutions ahead of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF).
The talks included senior officials from the US Export-Import Bank, the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, as well as companies such as Air Products, Boeing, BlackRock, Visa, JPMorgan, Meta, and several other major corporations, Caliber.Az reports per the Uzbek presidential website.
The Uzbek president said the meeting continues the established practice of regular dialogue with American business and reflects growing interest in expanding its presence in Uzbekistan.
Both sides stressed that economic cooperation remains a key pillar of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
Special attention was given to potential projects in energy, metallurgy, extraction and processing of critical materials, finance, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies.
Representatives of US businesses expressed appreciation for the investment climate and presented proposals for expanding cooperation further.
At the end of the meeting, bilateral documents were exchanged with several leading US companies.
