Uzbek leader set for official visit to Belarus in early July

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Belarus on July 8–9.

Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin announced the upcoming visit following a briefing to President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Caliber.Az reports, citing Belarus media.

Turchin said that during his recent working visit to Uzbekistan and talks with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the two sides discussed the development of bilateral relations, which he noted are demonstrating steady positive dynamics.

He added that particular attention was given to preparations for the upcoming visit of the Uzbek leader to Minsk and the shaping of its substantive agenda.

“We are greatly looking forward to the president’s visit,” Turchin said.
