Uzbekistan, Hungary sign protocol for nuclear power plant construction
Uzbekistan and Hungary have signed a protocol as part of the nuclear power plant construction project in Uzbekistan, the press service of the "Uzatom" Agency reported.
“During the working visit of the Hungarian delegation to Uzbekistan, the ‘Uzatom’ Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and the company MVM EGI Zrt. signed a protocol recording the agreements reached on a number of key areas of cooperation within the nuclear power plant construction project,” the statement said.
According to Caliber.Az, the document provides for:

the use of dry cooling systems with mechanical draft;

preparation of technical and commercial proposals for equipment supply;

commencement of work on establishing a joint venture on Uzbekistan’s territory for large-scale assembly of dry cooling systems;

development by the Hungarian side of educational programs and internships.
The signing of the protocol was described as an important step toward expanding multilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear energy at the regional level, the press service added.
