Uzbekistan to lift restrictions on gas stations after two-week pause

Automobile gas-filling compressor stations across Uzbekistan will resume operations two weeks after restrictions were imposed.

The Ministry of Energy announced that starting February 2, stations will operate six hours a day, Caliber.Az reports per Uzbek media.

In the Fergana Valley, the operating schedule for methane refuelling stations will depend on gas pressure and coordination with local authorities.

Gas supply for specialised equipment and public transport serving social facilities will continue uninterrupted. 

Temporary restrictions were introduced on January 20 due to a sudden cold snap and increased gas demand.
