Uzbekistan’s services exports rise 34.9% to $4.6 billion

Services accounted for the largest share of Uzbekistan’s exports during the reporting period, reaching $4.6 billion, according to the country’s statistics agency.

The figure was 34.9% higher than during the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.

Industrial goods exports rose 18% to $1.9 billion, while exports of finished goods nearly doubled to $1.1 billion.

Exports of chemical products and related goods increased 37.6% to $1 billion, while foodstuffs and live animals reached $1 billion, up 9.1%.

Exports of mineral fuels and lubricants rose 10.1% to $660.7 million, while machinery and transport equipment increased 38.2% to $536 million.

Exports of non-food raw materials excluding fuel reached $131.4 million, up 17.1%. Beverages and tobacco exports rose 41.3% to $106.9 million, while exports of animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes increased 90.1% to $50.9 million.

At the same time, exports in the “other goods” category fell 76.4% to $1.5 billion.
