Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia discuss Middle East situation in phone talks

On March 24, Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a phone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, according to Caliber.Az, citing Uzbek media.

The ministers exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and expressed wishes for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for the global Muslim community.

They emphasised the spiritual and cultural closeness of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia as a foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation. During the talks, the officials discussed strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia remains a key partner for Uzbekistan in the Middle East, actively engaged in investment projects in energy, technology, and agriculture. Both sides confirmed their readiness to launch new joint initiatives and deepen political dialogue.

The ministers also focused on the regional security situation in the Middle East, expressing concern over current challenges and stressing the need to resolve conflicts through political and diplomatic means to ensure long-term stability.
